Saturday, something to think about

We spend up to 80% of our awake hours communicating in someway, and 45% of that time is spent listening. How do we listen? There is more to listening than hearing words. There is emotion, body language and eye contact. Focus on the event of listening of others as you would like to be listened to.

Most people will remember and retain about 7% of what you say. 38% will happen to remember the tone of voice you used. And 55% will remember and respond to your general body language. We think faster than we speak or listen, leaving us with much room for distraction. As a result, the average listener understands and retains only 50% of what is said in a 10-minute presentation

Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force. The friends who listen to us are the ones we move toward. When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand.

Be the change you seek in this world, remember the “The first duty of love is to listen.”

Who can individuals, couples and families turn to when they need care & services traditionally found by a place of worship? US! We are Inclusive Life, and we serve all without exception.
